        Which job can actually carry out “Of the people, by the people, for the people”   ?

        Doctors save lives, teachers teach knowledge. They are great people, doing great things for the people. I am not a wise man. I am not clever enough to be a doctor. Again I am not patient enough to be a teacher. When I kept wondering which course I want to study, “ARCHITECTURE” this word popped into my mind. I lived in a normal terrace house, with a simple design and messy furniture arrangement. “Home Sweet Home” is everyone’s dream. We spend the vast majority of our lives in buildings. I believe a well-designed house will lead to better living quality for the people. Therefore, to live in a comfy home, a good design is definitely important. That’s what architect does for people.

        Throughout the three years in architecture study, what inspires me the most is architecture is always designed of the people, by the people, for the people. Architecture is an influence source that portrays direction and meaning in my life. The power of design is a powerful tool that can improve people’s lives, but doing it irresponsibly will definitely cause more harm than expected.

 

        Architecture is more than design, as it concerns the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of a person. The architecture journey is endless as there is a long way to improve, learn and explore. And that’s the fun part of architecture begins.
