PROJECT-On-line Group Forum
In a group of 5, we are assigned to do a research on our choice of a specific architectural era, investigating historical works to enrich architectural design and ideas. My group chose the Early Christian, Byzantine and Romanesque architectural period, Hagia Sophia, which is located in Istanbul, Turkey. I need to analyse what the form, or shape of Hagia Sophia is and how the form or shape of the building contributes in making the building historically significant and meaningful. Through this tas, I was able to recognize appropriate verbal architectural vocabulary, both in the building styles and periods. Besides, I've also gained knowledge about Byzantine historical building style.

PROJECT-Precedent Study & Analysis Sketches Presentation and Analysis Report
For the second task of this project, we need to analyse the building by sketches and consist of illutrative and abstractive diagrams, drawing and text. What I analyse is the circulation of Hagia Sophia. I'd learned about the circulation of space, ventilation and vertical and horizontal geometry of the building. I realized how different architectural era will effec the building styles in every aspect as maybe during each era there are different kind of outside pressure that makes the designer/architect design the building as it is now or the symbolism of the buildings. I also learned about the building will reflect the spirit of the time, which Hagia Sophia reflect the spirit of Byzantine and the ideas and the design concept will affect the architecture.

PROJECT-Presentation Board
As for the third task, I's learned to produce a fully hand drawn and hand written individual presentation board that consist of detail of Hagia Sophia and improve architecture analysis which had done for the second task. Trough this task, I was able to produce an in-depth analysis of the building, its concepts, patterns, disciplines, architectural language and contextual relationships.
