PROJECT 1 : AUDITORIUM - A CASE STUDY ON ACOUSTIC DESIGN
In a group of 8, we are required to conduct a case study on an auditorium locally which we had chosen Damansara Performing Art Centre. It is an observation and report case study where we needed to get permission from the responsible personnal of the building.
In the report, we should include the historical background of the place together with the acoustic system which included the sound absorption and reflection. It should be based on our analysis and supported with the calculation and diagrams. It is essential to preserve and enhance the desired sound and to eliminate the noise and undesired sound.
PROJECT 2 : INTEGRATION PROJECT - LIGHTING STUDY
In this project, we are required to integrate with our design studio 5 project which is community library with both natural and artificial lighting design.
The objectives of this project is to :-
1. To show understanding of artificial lighting and daylighting strategies (PSALI) in our final design.
2. To solve design problems in relation to sustainability issues (natural lighting, site analysis).
3. To design spaces incorporating artificial and daylighting.
